Responsible for the operational oversight of the clinical pathology laboratories with a focus on: Microbiology, Chemistry, Hematology, Molecular Pathology, Send-Out Testing and Specimen Processing. Coordinate budget management, ensure timely analysis of income and expenditures, note and justify variances to project budget and recommend cost containment measures. Review for and implement budget adjustments based on monthly financial reports. Manage vendor relations. Develop staff in order to enhance career and section growth.Qualifications
Baccalaureate degree and certification by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists required. A Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Services Administration or related subspecialty is preferred.
Six years combined experience (minimum two years in any one capacity) in: Medical Technology as a supervisor or administrator in a clinical laboratory setting. Also desired are good interpersonal skills, customer service orientation and a working knowledge of computer software programs
