The University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System will host a free event at the 7th District Police station to discuss Breast Cancer Awareness in Englewood.

Moving Forward

A healthy eating and exercise program for African-American breast cancer survivors, is coming to your community. In partnership with the Chicago Park District, this program will provide support and education to help breast cancer survivors make important lifestyle changes.

Are you an African-American breast cancer survivor?

Are you overweight?

Would you like to be involved in a healthy eating and exercise research program?

To participate you must be age 18 or older, be overweight, have had stage I, II or III breast cancer and be at least 6 months post-treatment (you can be on hormonal therapy or aromatase inhibitors, like tamoxifen or Arimidex).
