February is Heart Health Month
Posted: February 28, 2013 by UI Health Marketing
The American Heart Association has named the month of February as Heart Month to bring awareness to the many cardiovascular diseases. Given this, the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System has partnered with the American Heart Association to further the awareness in our community and to continue to fund critical research.
To help support Heart Month, clinicians from the hospital and our college of medicine, nursing and pharmacy will be in the lobby of the Outpatient Care Center at 1801 West Taylor St., Chicago, IL 60612 to provide information on signs, symptoms and proactive measure you can take to enhance your own heart health during Heart Failure Awareness Week, February 11-15th.
In addition, we will actively be involved with the AHA including the Go Red for Women Expo on February 27th, Por Tu Corazon Workshop on February 28th and we will be presenting in faith base settings through our Have Faith Heart series.
