Outpatient General Rehabilitation Services
Our outpatient clinics are staffed with some of the most highly trained rehabilitation professionals in the country. Many of our therapists have undergone additional, post-graduate training to assure that their patients achieve optimal results in the shortest time necessary.
Several of our physical therapists have even undergone fellowship training, of which less than 1000 therapists in the country have completed. Our clinicians are also closely associated with the University of Illinois at Chicago's College of Applied Health Sciences. The college is well known for producing future leaders in the fields of clinical Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy, in addition to its many advanced research degree tracks. In order to facilitate learning for these students, the UI Hospital staff clinicians must remain on the cutting edge of evidence-based clinical practice.
UI Hospital offers one of the broadest ranges of outpatient physical and occupational therapy services in the country, from orthopedic manual therapy to pediatric developmental evaluation and treatment. Our efforts to provide the best care possible to our patients have not gone unnoticed. Several members of our staff have been graciously awarded the "Class Act" recognition by UI Hospital. This is a recognition that is awarded based on feedback from patients and is one of the most coveted.
Our Services
Located in the UI Hospital Outpatient Care Center (OCC - 2C), our outpatient therapy services department is ready to assist you in regaining your highest level of independence. The outpatient clinics offer a broad range of specific treatment programs that are tailored to the individual needs of our patients. Just a few of these are listed below:

To decrease the strain on your busy schedule, we offer both early and late appointments as well as weekend hours.
*Our outpatient facility is open Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Tuesday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
