21st Annual Día del Niño Health Walk and Family Festival

Practice in the Community Día del Niño is a national holiday in Mexico, a day when families celebrate their children. Join UI Health and the National Museum of Mexican Art as we celebrate our community's children and the effort to keep them healthy at 21stst Annual Día del Niňo Family Festival on April 22. Start the morning with a 2-mile health walk,at 10 a.m.,from art the museum (1852 W. 19th St.), ending at the UIC Pavilion, (525 S. Racine Ave.).

Registration for the walk is from 8-9am at the Museum. Join the walk or enjoy the free Family Festival which includes live performances, art activities, health screenings, wellness education, and fitness games. There is a free shuttle to and from the museum throughout the day.

Visit the UI Health Wellness booths for pediatric dental screenings and oral hygiene, children pediatric body mass index results, blood pressure screenings, stroke education, medication management and consults, diabetes management and adult body mass index screening results, occupational therapywellness, poison control activities for children, breast cancer information and mammography appointmentsts, transplant education, and mental health and bullying evaluations.
