Dr. Negamani “Mani” Pavuluri practices in the Department of Psychiatry at UI Health. Dr. Pavuluri is the founding director of both the Pediatric Mood Disorders Program and the Pediatric Brain Research and Intervention Center, and she has more than 30 years’ experience serving patients and their families. Dr. Pavuluri’s clinical work is rooted in translating science to service, and she focuses on treating families through pharmacology, cognitive behavior therapy, interpersonal psychotherapy, brain domain-based pragmatic interventions, parent training, and collaboration with school teams. She is internationally known researcher and a pre-eminent scientist that was among the first to map brain circuits in developing children with mood instability, specifically in bipolar disorder and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD). Dr. Pavuluri is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry; Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists and the American College of Neuropsychopharmacology; and the Berger-Colbeth Chair in Child Psychiatry at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
