WGN and Fox News interviewed two families involved in a living-donor kidney swap at UI Health. Dr. Enrico Benedetti, head of surgical services, and Dr. Jose Oberholzer, chief of transplantation surgery, were interviewed about the swap procedure and the hospital's program to transplant obese kidney patients, who are frequently denied access to transplantation, using robotic surgery.

WGN News aired a segment about UI Health efforts to cure sickle cell disease through stem cell transplantation. Dr. Damiano Rondelli, professor of medicine and director of the Blood & Marrow Transplant Program, and two patients were interviewed. The patients -- brothers Julius and Desmond Means -- received stems cells from their healthy older brother and are now cured of sickle cell. Watch the segment .
