Dr. Ron C. Gaba practices in the Division of Interventional Radiology at UI Health. Dr. Gaba is active in clinical service and patient care; trainee education; and clinical and translational research. His federally funded research interests include interventional oncology — including transarterial chemoembolization; drug delivery; animal models of disease; and precision medicine and genomics — and portal hypertension, including transjugular intrahepatic portosystemic shunts (TIPS) and variceal therapy with embolization or obliteration. Dr. Gaba is a professor at the University of Illinois College of Medicine, where he also is the division head of Interventional Radiology, vice head for research in Radiology, and assistant dean for Joint Degree Programs & Student Research.
