Dr. Michelle M. Barnes is board-certified in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine, and she provides care for children from the newborn period through young adulthood at UI Health. Dr. Barnes is an associate professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at UIC and associate director of the Pediatrics residency program. Her research interests include medical education and family-centered communication. She directs the community pediatrics and advocacy experiences for the pediatric residents where she collaborates with community partners to train future pediatricians to work with community organizations.
