Community Engagement and Neighborhood Health Partnership
UIC Office of Community Engagement and Neighborhood Health Partnerships (OCENHP)
OCENHP fosters partnerships to bring together the expertise, resources and wisdom from the community with that of the university to strengthen the quality of life for all beneficiaries. These relationships enhance both community and university leadership and organizational capacity. As neighbors, both entities address matters of mutual interest, thereby ensuring the effective utilization of the collective resources of both parties.
Our Programs include CEED Health Disparities, Community School Health Centers, CPHP Community Nutrition, Faith Initiatives and more. For a full list of current and historical programs, visit OCENHP Programs site.
Our Research services as an interface between the university and the community, brokering partnerships, translating information between diverse communities and applying new knowledge intended to benefit the City. For more on OCENHP's research, visits OCENHP Research site.
Our Neighborhood Service Areas help us maintain a consistent and positive presence in a number of Chicago communities. To learn about these different neighborhoods we serve, visit OCENHP Neighborhoods map
