Asian Heritage Month Celebration & National Hepatitis Awareness Day
Saturday, May 19, 2018
The Midwest Asian Health Association invites you to celebrate Asian Heritage Month and National Hepatitis Awareness Day. The event provides awareness and education of hepatitis B, a major disease for Asian-Americans. Hepatitis B is a serious global health problem; chronically infected persons are at risk for cirrhosis, liver cancer, and liver failure.
The day will feature free health screenings, dragon dances, and cultural performances. Visit the UI Health booth for blood pressure screenings, medication counseling, and education. For more information contact Vernalynne De La Rosa at 312.225.8708 or email@example.com
