September is National Sickle Cell Awareness Month and the UI Health Sickle Cell Center is a regional leader for care, education, research, and advocacy for this complex blood disorder. Join the 6th Annual Virtual Chicago Sickle Cell Summit. The goal is to highlight the latest trends, successes, challenges, and barriers to propel the lives of the Sickle Cell community beyond survival to thriving.” The summit is hosted by the Improving Sickle Cell Care in Adolescents & Adults in Chicago (ISAAC) partners: UI Health; University of Illinois College of Medicine Peoria (UICOMP); Sinai Health System; Lawndale Christian Health Center; and other community partners.
