Dr. Anders F. Mellgren is the Chief of the Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at UI Health. Dr. Mellgren's interests include pelvic floor disorders, colon and rectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, minimally invasive robotic surgery, and innovative treatment options for fecal incontinence, in addition to surgical research and teaching. He has an extensive list of original scientific publications on the topic of colorectal diseases and their treatments, and he frequently presents at national and international meetings. Dr. Mellgren is the Turi Josefsen Chair in Colon-Rectal Surgery at the University of Illinois College of Medicine.
