Dr. Andrea Cyr practices in the Department of Orthopaedics at UI Health. Dr. Cyr is a sports medicine physician with a background in physical medicine and rehabilitation, and she provides patients leading-edge, nonoperative orthopaedic care for a variety of musculoskeletal issues, including neck and back pain, various joint pain, and chronic injuries such as tendinopathies or overuse injury. An accomplished cyclist, she brings her dedication and discipline of a professional athlete into every patient encounter. She values fitness as medicine and will work with her patients to get them back on track toward their health and better quality of life through meaningful activity or sport. Dr. Cyr also performs diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound, ultrasound-guided injections, and EMG nerve conduction studies. In addition, she is published in ultrasound diagnostics, cycling medicine, and is involved in ongoing research on female athletes. Her holistic and disciplined patient-centered approach make her an integral part of the clinical team available for patient care.
