Dr. Brian Layden is the chief of the Diabetes Center & Endocrinology Clinic at UI Health. His lab focuses on uncovering metabolic pathways that contribute to obesity and diabetes and identifying small molecules or drugs that can be used to target those pathways to prevent and treat disease.
