Harsha Vardhan Kumar, MD, has joined pediatrics as Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in the Division of Allergy/Immunology/Pulmonology. Dr. Kumar graduated from St. John's Medical College, in Bangalore, India. He completed his Pediatric Residency at the University of Illinois at Chicago and his Pediatric Pulmonary Medicine Fellowship at Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago (formerly Children's Memorial Hospital). His clinical interests include asthma, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, and chronic cough. He treats lung and breathing related conditions and diseases in children and newborn infants, offering pulmonary function testing in children and bronchoscopy services. His main research interests are asthma and pediatric obstructive sleep apnea. He is board certified in pediatrics. He speaks English, Hindi, and Kannada.
