Letitia Sykes-Matthews is a staff chaplain in Pastoral Care Services at UI Health. Ms. Sykes-Matthews provides a caring, empathic, and calm presence to patients and their families through active listening and unconditional regard to patients and their families as they process their experiences with intermittent and chronic illness, intensive care, and the end of life. Her background in mental health and substance abuse has provided a pathway for her to connect with patients of various backgrounds and cultures.
