Dr. Mario Masrur provides care to patients with Gastrointestinal diseases and morbidly obese patients. He earned his medical degree from the College of Medicine of Universidad Nacional de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina. He completed his general surgery residency in the Hospital Italiano de Mendoza in Argentina. Then he moved to Chicago to start his trip on Minimally invasive and Robotic Surgery. He completed a Minimally invasive and robotic surgery fellowship at University of Illinois at Chicago and then completed a year of Fellowship in Advance GI surgery at the same institution, after which he joined the Division of Minimally Invasive and Robotic Surgery at UI Health. He has published over 30 peer-reviewed publications and 2 book chapters related to minimally invasive and robotic-assisted surgery.
