The Rev. Mark E. Lones is the director of Pastoral Care Services at UI Health. Rev. Lones has been in ministry since 1987 and has served as a senior pastor, educational administrator, and healthcare chaplain. In his role at UI Health, he has grown Pastoral Care into a robust service providing 24/7/365 spiritual care to patients, families, and staff. He also has provided interim leadership for the clinical ethics consult service, re-established the Clinical Pastoral Education Center, and led in the launch of the Advance Directives Initiative at UI Health.
