Maureen Gecht-Silver is an occupational therapist at UI Health. Maureen has a long-standing interest in improving the health of people with chronic health conditions. She collaborates with patients and family members in all aspects of care including treatment planning and goal setting, and she strives to promote patients' active role in their health. Maureen has specialized training in occupational therapy, self-management support, motivational interviewing, health coaching, and meditation. She is a trainer for the Stanford Developed Chronic Disease Self-Management, Diabetes Self-Management, and Chronic Pain Self-Management Programs; a member of the Motivational Interviewing Network of Trainers; and a Certified Leader in the Emory University Developed Cognitive Based Compassion Training.
