Dr. Michelle M. Barnes directs the Community Pediatrics and Advocacy rotation for pediatric residents. Dr. Barnes' research interests include graduate medical education, specifically in community pediatrics and advocacy, breastfeeding support, and family-centered communication. She is an assistant professor of Clinical Pediatrics and Internal Medicine and it the Associate Head for Education in the Department of Pediatrics and Associate Director of the Pediatric Residency Program. After graduating from the Stritch School of Medicine (Loyola University of Chicago), Dr. Barnes completed residencies in Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital (Connecticut). She is board certified in both Pediatrics and Internal Medicine.
