Dr. Scott Ziporin is a board-certified vascular surgeon with training in all areas of vascular surgery both via traditional, open operative techniques and endovascular procedures. Dr. Ziporin completed his General Surgery Internship and Residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University in St. Louis, after which he completed his Vascular Surgery Fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center/Harvard. His scope of practice includes the treatment of both thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms, aortic dissection, mesenteric ischemia, central venous obstructive disease, carotid artery disease, and peripheral arterial disease, including lower extremity revascularization procedures for the purpose of limb salvage. Dr. Ziporin is a member of the UI Health Vein Center and Venous Diseases Program. This comprehensive effort treats complex cases involving acute and chronic deep venous thrombosis (DVT), central venous stenosis, and chronic venous insufficiency diagnoses, including superficial venous reflux, venous stasis ulcers, venous stasis dermatitis, varicose veins, and symptomatic reticular spider veins.
