Free Naloxone & Harm Reduction Training
Naloxone (commonly known as Narcan) is a medication that can reverse opioid overdoses within minutes, restoring normal breathing to someone whose life is at immediate risk. Accessible and easy to use, Naloxone empowers individuals and communities to take quick, effective action during critical moments. By equipping more people with this knowledge, we can save lives and reduce the devastating impact of the opioid crisis.
About the Program
Our comprehensive 5-session training program is designed to provide participants with essential knowledge and skills in Harm Reduction and Naloxone administration for overdose prevention. The program includes:
- 1 Initial In-Person Training: A foundational session to teach key concepts and hands-on Naloxone administration techniques.
- 4 Virtual Article Discussion Sessions: One-hour discussions to deepen understanding of harm reduction principles and strategies.
Program Duration: January – May 2025 (First Cohort)
Upon completing the program, participants will receive a certificate of completion and the opportunity to become trainers, equipping other community members with life-saving skills.
