Pharmacy Services Update: Reduced Locations & Hours

In an effort to minimize exposure risk for UI Health patients, visitors, and staff, and to maintain social distancing during the statewide "Stay at Home" order for COVID-19, UI Health pharmacies will consolidate locations and reduce hours of operation and staff as follows, effective Monday, March 23: 

Services will be provided Monday-Friday, 9 am to 5 pm, at five UI Health pharmacy locations:

Wood Street Pharmacy - 840 S. Wood St., 312.996.6887
Wood Street Pharmacy will provide full service for new and refill prescriptions, including discharge prescriptions. The pharmacy also will be open Saturdays from 9 am to 3 pm. No more than four patients will be allowed in the waiting room at one time.

Taylor Street Pharmacy - 1855 W. Taylor St. (Eye & Ear Infirmary), 312.996.6540
Taylor Street Pharmacy will be open service dialysis patients, Ophthalmology/Otolaryngology (ENT) specialties, and UIC students with CampusCare and Student Health. No more than 2 patients will be allowed in waiting room at one time.

Oncology Clinic Pharmacy - 1801 W. Taylor St., Suite 1411, 312.996.6985
The Oncology Clinic Pharmacy will continue to operate as a closed-door pharmacy and will provide services for the Oncology Clinic and other clinic administered infusions.

Mile Square Health Center Pharmacy - 1220 S. Wood St., 312.413.0701
The Mile Square Health Center Pharmacy will service Mile Square patients with new prescriptions and refills. No more than two patients will be allowed in the waiting room at one time.  

University Village Pharmacy - 722 W. Maxwell St., 312.355.2345
The University Village Pharmacy provides full service for new and refill prescriptions, with continued service to Family Medicine Center and UIC Students with CampusCare and Student Health.

Revised pharmacy services will be provided from two UI Health pharmacies:

Outpatient Care Center Pharmacy - 1801 W. Taylor St., Suite 3B, 312.996.9058
The Outpatient Care Center/3B Pharmacy will operate with reduced staffing for pick-up by appointment only for Medication Therapy Management and UI Team RX patients. Not more than two patients will be allowed in the waiting room at one time.

Dermatology Clinic Pharmacy - 1801 W. Taylor St., Suite 309, 312.996.6987
The Dermatology Clinic Pharmacy will be closed to the public, but the Dermatology pharmacist occasionally will be on-site to process refills and mail-order prescriptions. If you need assistance, leave a message and a pharmacy team member will return the call.

Due to space restrictions, pharmacy-administered immunizations also are suspended.

Patients should call the pharmacy 5-7 days before running out of their medication to arrange for refills. Please ask a member of our pharmacy staff about potential delivery options.
