UI Health Supports Chicago Fire Practice in the Community

Chicago Fire PracticeThe Chicago Fire Soccer Players excited and inspired young and old, at the Gary/Ortiz Elementary School in Little Village, June 28. This fourth annual event was presented by the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System and the Chicago Fire Soccer Club. The popular Chicago Fire Soccer Team came to the community to connect the players with the public, display the skills, and talent of the team. Autographs and photos with the soccer players, as well as interactive games, entertainment, food, music, and giveaways were enjoyed by the public.

Participating in sports or engaging in daily exercise is a great way to staying healthy.  

UI Health Nurses and medical assistants provided 75 blood pressure screenings as well as health education and information regarding Mile Square Health Center's Urgent Care.  Practice in the Community provides an opportunity to engage the public in a healthy activities and health awareness.
