United Healthcare Medicare Advantage PPO for State of Illinois Retirees

UI Health is currently accepting appointments for State of Illinois Retirees that have coverage through UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage PPO plan ended 12/31/2022. Coverage switching to Aetna.

Although UI Health is not a contracted provider for any UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage products, Central Management Services (CMS) has confirmed that under the UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage PPO being offered to State of Illinois Retirees, members will not have a benefit differential for In-Network versus Out of Network. The benefit differential for both In-Network and Out-of-Network coverage will be 90% / 10%, therefore retirees who sign up for this Medicare Advantage plan can continue to be seen at UI Health.

In order to avoid disruption in your care, please ensure that you indicate that you are a State of Illinois Retiree with UnitedHealthcare Medicare Advantage PPO coverage when scheduling an appointment.
