The Colon Cancer and Rectal Cancer Program at UI Health performs routine screening examinations, treats malignant conditions, and surgically treats cancers of the colon, rectum, anus, and small bowel.

We offer state-of-the-art services for patients with colorectal cancer, colon cancer, and rectal cancer,  and we provide the most integrated care available to patients diagnosed with early to advanced colorectal cancer. The Colon & Rectal Cancer Program at UI Health uses a multidisciplinary approach to provide patients with the best care and treatment options available. Our colorectal cancer experts are nationally recognized leaders who are active in research related to colorectal cancer. Patients at UI Health may be eligible to participate in ongoing clinical and basic science research trials.

Our team of medical oncologists are specialists in treating gastrointestinal cancers, including those of the colon and rectum. One of their methods for treatment includes chemotherapy. The medical oncology team will tailor a treatment plan for your unique needs, including chemotherapy, targeted medication therapies, and intravenous medications. Patients also may be eligible for Clinical Trials.
