Pancreatic Cancer Treatment

Treating pancreatic cancer depends on the extent of the cancer and the patient’s health history.

Treatment options include:

  • Surgery: Surgery can be employed to treat pancreatic cancers. Surgeons remove pancreatic tumors with minimally invasive, robotic surgical techniques, and they also perform pancreatectomies and pancreatic resections.
  • Chemotherapy/Interventional Oncology: Pancreases-directed therapies, including chemoembolization, radioembolization, and microwave ablation can be used to deliver treatment to tumors in the pancreas.
  • Pancreas Transplant: Depending on the stage of cancer, pancreas transplant may be a treatment option for certain patients.
