Myasthenia Gravis
Myasthenia gravis is a neuromuscular disease characterized by varying degrees of weakness of the muscles. Often affected are muscles that control eyelid movements, facial expression, chewing, talking, and swallowing. At UI Health, myasthenia gravis patients are seen in our Muscular Dystrophy Clinic. Our neuromuscular physicians and nurses are experts in the treatment of all aspects of myasthenia gravis, and hey consult with patients to identify an effective, individualized treatment plan.
Myasthenia gravis patients are seen in the Muscular Dystrophy Clinic the first and third Thursday of each month from 1–5 pm. To schedule an appointment, please call 312.996.4780.
