Photorefractive Keratectomy (PRK)

PRK is a refractive laser vision correction surgery that uses excimer laser pulses to reshape the cornea.  The procedure does not require a flap and preserves more corneal tissue. It was the first laser refractive procedure for vision correction approved by the FDA.

Candidate Qualifications

PRK could be a treatment option for you if you have:

  • Nearsightedness (myopia)
  • Farsightedness (hyperopia)
  • Astigmatism (blurred vision)
