Ear, Nose, and Throat/ENT Programs
The Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at UI Health comprises seven specialty programs to deliver the most complete care for conditions and diseases of the ears, nose, and throat, and head and neck. Our Research Center continues to contribute valuable discoveries and publications in prominent journals, and the Nikhil J. Bhatt Surgical Training Center provides a great resource in supporting our resident training. And with a number of areas dedicated to treatment, research, and training, we pride ourselves in using the latest technologies and procedures to deliver excellent patient care.
Our ENT Programs
General Otolaryngology
Our general ear, nose, and throat services include treatment for snoring and sleep apnea; thyroid masses; goiters and salivary gland tumors; and sinus/nasal allergy. We also specialize in sinus/nasal disorders, adult airway and ear disorders, and provide services to pediatric patients.
Audiology
The Division of Audiology provides comprehensive services for all types of hearing- and balance-related conditions, from newborns and infants to adults and seniors.
Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
Our Facial Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery team offers cosmetic and reconstructive surgery of the face, head, and neck, including corrective nasal surgery to resolve breathing problems; cosmetic nasal surgery; revision nasal surgery; eyelid lift/eye tuck; brow lift; and facelift.
Head & Neck Cancer
At UI Health, we are heavily involved in research and prevention for head and neck cancer. Our specialists treat various head and neck cancers, such as squamous cell carcinoma and thyroid cancer, in addition to benign thyroid lesions and salivary gland disorders.
Speech & Voice Care
The Chicago Institute for Voice Care at UI Health is a leading program for the diagnosis, treatment - including surgery - and therapy for disorders of the voice. We offer state-of-the-art evaluation for patients with a variety of vocal issues, and we pride ourselves on community outreach, education on voice care, and the scientific exploration of all aspects of voice production.
Otology and Neurotology
The Otology & Neurotology teams at UI Health are among Chicago's experts in treating a number of diseases of the ear, such as chronic ear infections and hearing loss. Our specialists also address dizziness, balance disorders, facial nerve disorders, and perform surgery for implants that resolve hearing loss, including cochlear implants, and for skull base tumors.
Sinus & Nasal Allergy
We specialize in minimally invasive treatment of sinus/nasal conditions, including sinusitis, nasal polyps, and nasal fractures. In addition, we offer rhinology, sinus surgery, nasal surgery, skull base surgery, and the treatment of nasal allergies.
