Ear, Nose, and Throat (Otolaryngology)
The Department of Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at UI Health is one of Chicago's leading centers for comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of conditions and diseases of the ears, nose, and throat, and head and neck. With seven centers dedicated to treatment, research, and training across seven ENT subspecialties, Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery at UI Health specializes in using the latest technologies and procedures to deliver excellent patient care.
Advanced Technology for Advanced Treatments
UI Health is the only academic medical center in Chicago to utilize the Medrobotics Flex Robotic System for minimally invasive head and neck surgical procedures. The Flex System is designed to allow procedures in parts of the body that previously were difficult or impossible to reach. It can navigate a nearly 180-degree path around anatomy to reach a surgical target, with articulating instruments that extend to perform procedures. These advancements mean that our doctors can provide more minimally invasive surgical treatments, so more patients can receive the treatment they need.
