Face the Future Foundation

The advisory board of the Craniofacial Center was formed in 1987 to raise funds and awareness for the center at UI Health. In 1997, the board successfully completed a capital campaign to build a new home for the Craniofacial Center. Thanks to the dedication and commitment of all board members, significant funds were raised to facilitate the move to our current, children-friendly, state-of-the-art facility where all necessary practitioners provide multidisciplinary care to our patients under one roof.

In 2007, the organization became a charitable 501(c)(3) entity under the name of Face the Future Foundation. The mission remained the same in providing exclusive full support to the Craniofacial Center at UIC.

The goals of fundraising by the foundation are to raise funds to assist in the multidisciplinary care of our patients for services not covered or partially covered by insurance carriers and to ensure the purchase of state-of-the-art equipment to maintain the highest possible level of care for its patients.

In addition to private donations, fundraising efforts include an annual fundraising gala and other events throughout the year. In addition, each December, the Foundation sponsors an annual holiday party for patients of the Craniofacial Center and their families. This event of fun, food, and presents provides much-needed support to patients and families who might not otherwise be able to enjoy a holiday celebration.
