First Appointment

Depending on where your child is in his or her growth and development, our experienced pediatric cleft nurses will coordinate the various specialists.

Many of our children with cleft lip and palate travel great distances to come see us. We would like to schedule as many appointments as needed at the initial visit so that we can help our families: Minimize time off from work Minimize the expense of travel Minimize missed school days for children  Please bring with you as much medical and dental  information you have about your child.

The following will help us better care for your child:  Contact information of your pediatrician, family doctor or primary care doctor. Previous medical records Previous surgical/operative reports Previous x-rays (CD format) If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our cleft coordinator Linda Duffy at 312.996.4119.
