Lung Cancer
Symptoms
- Persistent cough/blood
- Recurring pneumonia
- Shortness of breath
- Lasting chest pain
- Weight loss
Exam/Screening
- Low Dose CAT (CT) Scan of lung
When to Get Screened
- Recommended age: 55-80
- High risk patients:
Heavy smokers now or quit less than 15 years ago
Cervical Cancer
Symptoms
- Abnormal vaginal bleeding
- Pain during sex
- Pain in lower belly
- Abnormal vaginal discharge
Exam/Screening
- Pap test (during pelvic exam)
When to Get Screened
- Begin at age 21
- Pap test: every 3 years between ages of 21-29 or every 5 years with HPV test for women ages 30-65
Heart Disease
Symptoms
- Chest pain, tightness, pressure or discomfort
- Shortness of breath
- Pain, numbness in your legs or arms
- High blood pressure
