Vanessa Barbosa practices in the Rehabilitation Services Program at UI Health. Ms. Barbosa specializes in developmental pediatric therapy. She evaluates and treats developmental problems, including a variety of medical diagnoses that lead to interruption on developmental skills acquisition, or problems including but not limited to prematurity, cerebral palsy, surgeries, and developmental delay. Ms. Barbosa performs standardized developmental testing, including TIMP, GMA, Bayley, AIMS, and intervention to promote the acquisition of developmental skills, activities of daily living performance (self-care, feeding), play, and social participation. She also works with education for both patients and their caregivers and assists in discharge planning, including recommendations for equipment needs, early intervention, and outpatient services.
