Dr. Laura DiGiovanni is an expert in fetal diagnosis and in the management of pregnancies complicated by high-risk conditions. Dr. DiGiovanni enjoys all aspects of Maternal-Fetal Medicine (MFM) clinical care, and education of medical students, residents and fellows, and teaching ethics in obstetrics and gynecology. Dr. DiGiovanni is an Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Division of Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She completed her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, followed by a residency in OBGYN at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She completed a Maternal-Fetal Medicine fellowship at University of Chicago in 1990, and has been on faculty at Advocate Christ Hospital and the University of Chicago. From 2008–09, Dr. DiGiovanni completed a fellowship in Medical Ethics at the University of Chicago. Subsequently, she was appointed to the faculty at the MacLean Center for Clinical Medical Ethics.
