Dr. Joan Stelmack is Director of Low Vision Service in the Department of Ophthalmology at UI Health and Clinical Associate Professor of Ophthalmology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Dr. Stelmack specializes in low vision rehabilitation. Her interests include technologies, techniques, and therapies for enhancing patients' remaining sight, including the use of special optical and electronic devices and new visual skills to address routine daily tasks, such as reading and writing.
