Amanda Vevers is a licensed clinical social worker with the Gender Affirming Surgery Program at UI Health. Amanda provides consults for patients experiencing psychosocial concerns; acts as a liaison between patients and clinical staff; and works to create partnerships with community groups, nonprofit organizations, and medical providers and facilities serving gender-diverse patients. Her background includes case management and housing advocacy for the LGBTQ+ senior community. Amanda's practice is inspired by a quote from civil rights leader Bayard Rustin: "We need, in every community, a group of angelic troublemakers."
