Mile Square Health Center

Prostate Cancer Awareness Month is in September, and you can learn more about early detection and prostate cancer research by listening to this month's University of Illinois Cancer Center and UI Health Mile Square Health Center segment on WVON 1690 AM's "Dr. in the House with Dr. Terry Mason." 

The guests were the married hosts, El and Shay, of the popular podcast “Prostate Cancer Real Talk” and a leader of the Cancer Center Prostate Cancer Working Group, Donald Vander Griend, PhD, alongside guest co-host Karriem Watson, DHSc, MS, MPH, the Mile Square Chief Executive Officer and a Cancer Center member.

The Cancer Center and Mile Square segment on WVON airs the first Sunday of the month and features guests discussing cancer research and care, as well as general healthcare and services provided at UI Health. The Cancer Center and Mile Square, a Federally Qualified Health Center with a network of clinics in and around Chicago and Rockford, are both part of UI Health, the academic health system at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC).
