School Based Mile Square Health Centers
The Mile Square School-based Clinics are federally qualified school-located health centers (FQHCs) managed in partnership with the University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System’s Mile Square Health Centers. As FQHC's, our school health centers are committed to providing care to uninsured and underinsured families. The Health and Wellness Centers are located in Chicago's public, charter, and contract schools. All sites are staffed by University of Illinois Hospital and Health Sciences System health professionals who work collaboratively with school faculty and staff.
The School-based Clinics are open to students and the community. Walk-in appointments are available, but scheduling is preferred. The clinics are closed on holidays and weekends with limited hours when school is closed for breaks. Call the clinic directly for availability.
