Welcome to the Workers' Compensation Clinic at UI Health. We are delighted to begin providing your work-related healthcare, and we appreciate that you have chosen us to be your provider. We care for UIC employees and students, and UI Hospital staff, and for more than 25 years our clinic has been providing clinical care for other Illinois workers. Our clinicians are experts in occupational health and safety, and our clients include numerous public- and private-sector employers. When you arrive, look for the sign in front of the building that says Campus Health Services.

With the rising costs of healthcare and a challenging economy, many companies are faced with tough budgetary choices. At the UI Health Workers' Compensation Clinic, we understand the obstacles companies face when selecting a partner to provide workers' compensation services, and we're here to help.

Our board-certified staff is committed to helping get our own employees back to work quickly and safely. And now, through our Workers' Compensation Clinic, we can bring that same level of quality service and commitment to our neighbors in the community.

On The Day of Your Visit

When you arrive at our clinic, you will be greeted by one of our receptionists, who will review your Authorization Form to determine the reason for your visit. Next, if you are a new patient in our clinic, you will be asked to complete some paperwork that will be used to start your medical record. We'll also ask for a photo ID. You may briefly wait in our waiting area until you are called into one of our treatment rooms. After your visit, you will be given a Work Status Report to take back to your supervisor. If you need to come back to the clinic for a follow-up, the nurse practitioner will schedule a return appointment.

Case Management

Case management starts on day one of your injury and continues until your injury has resolved. Our clinic staff will work with you to track and expedite the care and treatment you receive, whether in our clinic or a specialty clinic at UI Health, so that you can focus on your recovery. If you were injured at work and taken to a different hospital for emergency care, and further treatment was recommended, please be sure to report to our clinic on the next business day so that we can help you get started with your care.

After Your Visit

Our clinic will send a copy of your Work Status Report to your employer. The report does not include any medical information - just your work status. If you are referred to another healthcare provider, then one of our clinicians will work with that provider's office to set up your initial appointment. We will let you know the date and time of the appointment, get you registered, and let you know where to report for the appointment.
