The Division of Gastroenterology and Digestive Diseases at UI Health is staffed by physicians and scientists who specialize in diseases of the liver and gastrointestinal (GI) tract, which includes the esophagus, stomach, gallbladder, pancreas, small and large intestine (colon), and rectum. Meet the Chief

Dr. Ece Mutlu is the chief of the Division of Gastroenterology, and associate head for clinical affairs in the Department of Medicine at UI Health. Dr. Mutlu focuses on treating patients with inflammatory bowel diseases, including ulcerative colitis, Crohn's, microscopic colitis, and collagenous colitis; colon polyps and cancer; and eosinophilic diseases of the digestive tract.
