- UI Health Community Relations partnered with the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois and UI Health Transplant to support Walk for Kidneys, promoting kidney health awareness and community engagement.
- UI Health Community Relations partnered with UIC research laboratories and the College of Applied Health Sciences to support Walk MS, promoting community engagement, health education, advocacy, and awareness of MS-related research and rehabilitation services.
- The University of Illinois Cancer Center at UI Health provided accessible cancer screenings to promote early detection, prevention, and awareness in the community.
- UI Health Community Relations participated in Festival del Niño, hosted by the National Museum of Mexican Art, supporting family wellness and community engagement through health education, screenings, and activities promoting healthy, active lifestyles.
- UI Health Community Relations partnered with the Mexican Consulate’s Ventanillas de Salud program to provide stroke prevention education, blood pressure screenings, and resources focused on early recognition and risk reduction.
- UI Health Miracle on Taylor Street, managed by Community Relations, is an annual Employee Holiday Gift Drive established in 1995 to sponsor underserved and less fortunate children and families in the communities we serve during the holiday season.
- UI Health Community Relations partnered with Xilin for its annual Thanksgiving event to recognize and celebrate seniors and community contributors.
- UI Health Community Relations partnered with the Daisie Foundation and Chicago Housing Authority for their annual Mother’s Day Event, celebrating mothers through wellness, self-care, and inspirational activities.
