get to know our provider

Dr. Shlomo Elbahary is an endodontist at the UIC College of Dentistry & Clinics. Dr. Elbahary provides root canal treatment, retreatment of previously treated teeth, and root tip surgery. He has a particular interest in dental injuries, and his care also includes advanced treatments like autotransplantation — using a patient’s own tooth to replace a missing or severely damaged tooth, when appropriate. Dr. Elbahary also cares for children and adults with special needs, including medical, developmental, or behavioral conditions, as well as patients who experience dental anxiety. When treatment in the dental chair is not possible, he provides care under general anesthesia. Dr. Elbahary takes the time to explain treatment options clearly and works closely with patients, families, caregivers, and other healthcare providers to make treatment as comfortable and safe as possible.
