Our Promise to You

To deliver friendly and timely care that is family-centered and quality-focused. By bringing general pediatricians and specialists together under one roof, the Child & Youth Center is dedicated to offering comprehensive care to keep your child as healthy as possible from infancy into young adulthood.

Our Goals

UI Health's goal is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to all children, especially the underserved. We also seek to be an acclaimed leader in moving the field of pediatrics forward through basic and clinical research and community-based pediatric urban health research. A focus of our children's hospital is to have "transitional care into adulthood" programs for the care of children with chronic illnesses such as:

  • Sickle cell disease
  • Diabetes
  • Asthma
  • Cancer
  • Congenital heart disease

We have educational programs at multiple levels for medical professionals and health care workers in all aspects of pediatrics, and we serve as a resource for local:

  • Community physicians
  • Schools
  • Families
  • Alumni

As clinicians, teachers, and researchers, we remain strongly committed to being a voice of advocacy for the children of Illinois.
