Welcome to Children's Hospital
The goal of the Children’s Hospital University of Illinois is to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to all children, especially the underserved.
We also seek to be an acclaimed leader in moving the field of pediatrics forward through basic and clinical research and community based pediatric urban health research. A focus of this children’s hospital is to have “transitional care into adulthood” programs for the care of children with chronic illnesses such as:
- Sickle cell disease
- Congenital heart disease
We have educational programs at multiple levels for medical professionals and health care workers in all aspects of pediatrics, and we serve as a resource for local:
- Community physicians
As clinicians, teachers, and researchers, we remain strongly committed to being a voice of advocacy for the children of Illinois.
