Outpatient Care Center (OCC)
Thank you for choosing the Outpatient Care Center at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, one of the nation's most prominent research and teaching centers. We welcome you as a patient and appreciate that you have chosen us to provide your healthcare. Here we will address many questions you may have regarding the Outpatient Care Center. More detailed information regarding our other services can be found in the link for Patient Care Services.
We are a teaching institution and support professional education for medical, nursing, and other students in the healthcare professions. In fact, the University of Illinois College of Medicine is the largest medical school in the United States.
Our clinical team will partner with you and your family to address your healthcare needs and answer your questions. Your care is always supervised by an attending physician who will order examinations, tests, and medications on your behalf. Your attending physician is supported by fellows and physician-residents who are also licensed physicians.
Our doctors, nurses, medical assistants, technicians, other healthcare professionals, and administrative staff members are all focused on providing you with the care and attention necessary to meet your healthcare needs.
Please let us know if you have special needs (such as language interpretation or wheelchair assistance) when scheduling your appointments with us so that we can make arrangements for you. You may receive a reminder phone call prior to your appointment.
