Take Charge of Your Kidney Health

April 6 - June 1

National Kidney Foundation  of Illinois LogoChronic Disease Self-Management Program, sponsored by UI Health, is a free eight-week workshop designed for individuals living with chronic kidney disease, caregivers, and those with risk factors such as diabetes or hypertension. Each weekly session lasts approximately two and a half hours. Six classes will focus on healthy living, and two will focus specifically on two kidney health sessions.

Participants will learn practical skills to manage symptoms, reduce stress, communicate effectively with providers, and prevent complications. The program also covers dialysis, fluid restrictions, self-advocacy, and includes time with a panel of kidney health experts to support long-term well-being.
