Rachel Paus is the Senior Director of Marketing & Strategic Communications at UI Health, where she leads the strategy and execution of the system’s brand, marketing, digital solutions, and communications efforts.

For the past 18 years, Rachel has advanced awareness of UI Health’s mission-driven academic health enterprise. She develops results-oriented, creative, and cost-effective marketing strategies that strengthen UI Health’s reputation and support systemwide priorities. She is committed to using marketing as a strategic lever to advance access, equity, and trust in the communities UI Health serves.

Rachel works closely with executive leaders across the organization to ensure alignment, accelerate growth, and deliver consistent, impactful communication. Her expertise lies in coordinating cross-functional partners to ensure operational readiness before any marketing initiatives are launched. By analyzing data and collaborating with operational teams, she helps service line and clinic leaders define their goals, refine messaging, and prepare themselves for increased patient acquisition. Her ability to integrate strategy, operations, and communication is central to the success of marketing efforts across UI Health.
