Movement Disorders Genetic Clinic
Some Movement Disorders have genetic causes or associated genetic risk factors. Our program offers consultation with a Movement Disorders neurologist alongside a formally-trained genetic counselor to determine whether you may benefit from targeted genetic testing. Our Movement Disorders Genetic Clinic occurs once a monthly and is supervised by Dr. Yasaman Kianirad.
Our team knows that obtaining genetic testing is a personal decision for you and your family, and we will provide you with the appropriate education and support to make an informed decision regarding testing. Moreover, we will ensure that you are informed of the costs of genetic testing and how much your insurance plan will cover prior to sending any testing.
